Position Description

We Can Accommodate Automatic Restrictions and have an opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver in Salt Lake City UT

Pay: $1650 OR MORE a Week With Earnings On:

  • Hourly Pay: $28.69 per Hour
  • Single Miles Pay: $0.58 per Mile with 2200+ Miles per Week 
  • Double Miles Pay: $0.63 per Mile 
  • Nights Out Pay: 2 - 3 nights in the truck with $25.50 per diem each night
  • Safety Bonus: Pays You Up To $2000 per Year
  • Retention Bonus: Pays you $2000 at 1 Year Anniversary
  • Sign On Bonus: Pays you $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days

Ryder Trucks are Three Years or Newer

  • Deliver SOLO To: UT, ID, NV, AZ, CO, WY and Western NE
  • Tractor Type: 2018 and 2019 Freightliner Cascadia 
  • Trailer Type: 27' Doubles, Rocky Mountain Set or Super Set, 48' and 53' Dry Van with Swing Doors
  • 9 Months of Doubles Experience Required 
  • Freight: No Touch – Drop and Hook and Live Load
  • Freight Type: Supplies and Beverages
  • We Reimburse Cost to Obtain Endorsements + Provide Training Support to Obtain
  • Endorsements: Hazmat - Within 30 Days of Hire

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performs other duties as assigned
