Position Description

Immediate opening! We have an opening for a Class A CDL Regional Truck Driver and we want the right Driver to join us at Ryder in Minneapolis, MN

  • $1790+ Weekly Average, Driver Positions Pay Weekly
  • $1250/wk min guarantee for 5 days worked 
  • Hourly Pay: $26.00 Per Hour
  • 3 months Flatbed experience required. 
  • Regional within 300 mile radius of your house, Needs reliable vehicle
  • Overtime Paid After 40 hours 
  • Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel OR Sleeper
  • Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday; Saturdays and Sundays as account needs. Must be Flexible
  • NST Tenure bonus $1000 each year when actively employed from Nov 1st – Oct 31st
  • Sign on bonus $3000 half $1500 after 30 and after 90 days
  • Hours per Week: 50 + hours average per week
  • Trailer Type: Flatbed, Dry Van, Reefer
  • Deliver To: IL, WI, MI, MN, IA, IN, OH and KY
  • Cannot Accept Auto Restrictions
  • Freight: Touch/No Touch - Varies by Account, Load Securement – Flatbed Accounts
  • Comprehensive Benefits start 30 days after hire
  • Paid Time Off Starts at Day 1 - 80 hours accrued in 1st year

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performs other duties as assigned
