Immediate opening for a SOLO Regional Class A Hazmat CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Houston, TX

$1750 or more per week - And it gets better

 

  • Driver Positions Pay Weekly
  • Solo Miles Pay: $0.60 per Mile with 1485 - 2200 Miles per Week
  • Solo Stops Pay: $24.43 per Stop with 20 - 30 Stops per Week
  • Per Diem Pay: $26.52 per Night with 1 - 2 Nights per Week
  • Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
  • Start Time: 9:00 PM - 3:00 AM 
  • Paid Training

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities. 

 

  • Deliver SLO To: TX, LA and MS
  • Tractor Type: Day Cab and Sleeper
  • Trailer Type: 48' - 53' Dry Van with Lift Gate
  • Equipment: Pallet Jack and Lift Gate
  • Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
  • Freight: Touch – Automotive Parts
  • Endorsements: Hazmat - At Time of Interview
  • MUST have 12 months Hazmat Experience
  • No Auto Restriction
  • Route delivery experience preferred

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performs other duties as assigned
