Immediate opening for a SOLO Part Time NON CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Shreveport, LA

$500 or more per week - And it gets better

 

  • Driver Positions Pay Weekly
  • Hourly Pay: $24.98 Per Hour
  • Health Stipend: $4.80 Per Hour
  • Hours Per Week: 20 - 25 Hours per Week
  • Paid Training
  • Schedule: 7 Day a week operation
  • Start Time: 3:00 AM -7:00 AM and/or  3:00 PM - 8:00 PM 
  • Must be available for both shifts
  • Must have Straight Truck Experience

  • Deliver SOLO To: Shreveport & Surrounding area
  • Route: Local Home Daily
  • Trailer Type: 26' Straight Trucks
  • Equipment: Rolling Carts & Lift Gates
  • Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
  • Freight: Touch – US Mail (Must be Registered for Military draft)

 

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 9 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment:
    • 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 
    • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years 
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

  • This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
  • Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Other tasks as assigned
