We have an opening for a Class A Driver for our Driver Development Program in Owensboro, KY and we want the right Driver to join us at Ryder

  • Driver Positions Pay Weekly
  • Weekly Minimum Guarantee During Training: $1025
  • Weekly Minimum Guarantee After Training: $1335
  • Miles Pay: $0.50 per Mile with 2500 Miles per Week
  • Stops Pay: $11.00 per Stop with 5 - 15 Stops per Week
  • Drop and Hook Pay: $6.00 per Drop/Hook
  • CDL License is Required
  • Company Paid Scale Bypass

 

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.

Requirements

  • 9 months or less of CDL driving experience
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A
  • Ability to:
    • Follow written and/or oral instructions
    • Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight
  • Perform other duties as assigned
