About the position:

  • Part Time
  • Non CDL Part Time Driving Position 
  • Great Pay
    • $15.45 per hour
  • Local work:
    • Night only
    • 10:30pm start
  • Equipment
    • 16' and 26' straight trucks, non cdl
  • Product:
    • Newspaper products
  • Freight Handling
    • Touch freight using pallet jacks and lift gates
  • Safety Boot Allowance:
    • $100
  • This driver will also cover for full time in November for 6-12 weeks (good Christmas money)
  • Paid Every Friday!

Please note: In order to be considered for employment with Ryder as a Driver – you must meet one of the experience levels listed below: This experience must be verifiable & the driving experience must be in the type of equipment that the job requires.

  • 1 year experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

Requirements

  • Minimum 22 years of age
  • Minimum of 12 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

  • This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.

Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Other tasks as assigned
