    Ryder is hiring dedicated home weekend drivers in Corbin, KY to support our major automotive manufacture we’ve been servicing since 1988.

    All routes are dedicated, no touch, and roundtrip dispatching and returning to Corbin, KY. These routes operate in the surrounding states; OH, IN, IL and TN. 


    Looking for experienced drivers in and around the Corbin area.  See below to see details for a new progam being offered to drivers 1.5+ hours away!!


    New Program Qualifications:

    *This program is currently offered for Corbin, KY solo positions only.

    *Limited to 20 positions only. Once we reach that number we will cease hiring in to this program.

    *Your home address must be at least 1.5 hours away from our Ryder shop at 7933 South US Hwy 25 Corbin KY 40701 The 1.5 hour requirement will be calculated by Google Maps.

          • $650 per quarter for the first 4 quarters the referral stays with Ryder
      • Once hired all drivers are eligible to participate in Ryder’s Driver Referral Program that pays $2,600 per every qualified driver referred, hired and has an unlimited number of referrals.  For example, if you referred 10 drivers in a year that are hired, you would receive $26,000 in referral bonus above your bid pay.  Referral bonus is paid out as follows;
      • $500 December 24th bonus for each additional year the referred driver is employed with Ryder


    How can you, as a qualified CDL driver, obtain one of these special dedicated positions?


    2 Options:


    Option 1: 


    Take advantage of Ryder’s relocation assistance program that includes the following:

    • Ryder provided moving truck
    • Relocation Assistance (subject to repayment if you end your employment before 1 year of service is achieved)

    $1,000 to be paid out after 30 days of employment 

    $1,000 to be paid July 2019 (shutdown)

    $3,000 to be paid December 2019 (shutdown)


    Option 2:


    Take advantage of Ryder’s dedicated tractor program that includes the following;

    • Drivers select their sleeper tractor (based on their seniority) equipped with both refrigerator and Axillary Power Unit (APU)
    • Drivers drive their own personal vehicle to Georgetown, KY where they will pick up and run their tractor for the week before returning to their home on the weekend.
    • During the week drivers will park in our secured Ryder location in Georgetown, KY and stay in the sleeper tractor while they rest (minimum 10 hour reset).
    • Drivers will have 24 hour access to a private Ryder driver lounge that includes;
    • Showers
    • Restrooms
    • TV’s
    • Microwaves
    • WIFI


    $5,000 sign on bonus 

    • $1,000 to be paid out after 30 days
    • $1,000 to be paid July shutdown 2019
    • $3,000 to be paid December shutdown 2019

    $25 a day meal money each day worked.

    • Minimum 22 years of age
    • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
    • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
    • Pass a DOT physical
    • Pass a Ryder road test
    • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
    • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
      • 12 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
      • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
      • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
    • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
    • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

    Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.


    This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service.


    Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
    • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
    • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
    • Other tasks as assigned
